The Contrada Acqua del Campo is famous for a festival that has very ancient origins, called by the Pontelandolfesi the “Festa della Montagna”. This is the festival celebrated in honor of the Madonna degli Angeli every second Sunday in September in the small mountain chapel dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel and built around 1860. Around these places of unspoiled beauty, stories and legends are interwoven narrated by grandparents to grandchildren and handed down to the present day. Among these is a story in which, the transparency of the crystalline waters of the Alente stream, is colored with the red of wine in a symbolic fusion between innocence and passion.
It is said that around 1861 some brigands hid in the mountains of Pontelandolfo, camped in the caves near the source that feeds the Alente stream.

Only 6 days left! The Pontelandolfo folk group Ri Ualanegli will take part of the International Festival of Naròn in Galizia – Spain!

Ri Ualanegli will carry the heat of a good and focused team, the pure Pontelandolfo’s tradition and that pinch of insanity that has always been part of them.

In 21 days will start the original World tour with the International festival of Pontelandolfo, created by the group “Ri Ualanegli”. Groups from Colombia, Portugal, Ireland and Thailand will come… save the dates… August 2-6 2019!

The competitors will measure themselves in the instinctive shooting of the campaign on 3d silhouettes. Monte Calvello will be the backdrop to the race. Thanks to its altitude (about 1000m) and its evergreen trees, especially secular beeches, not only the Monte allows you to immerse yourself in a spectacular environment but guarantees a perennial coolness that will facilitate the competitors. They can participate in the race, and admire the beauty of the location, archers from other regions too.
